This is an amazing new comedic sketch about an employee who calls an intervention at the workplace; There was a rough draft of this sketch up before, but this is the final version. Written by Ray Devito, directed/edited by Rob Paravonian (Pachebel Rant); featuring Andres du Bouchet (Late Night with Conan O'Brien), Eric Kirchberger (Comedy Central: Premium Blend), Dan Allen (Us Weekly Fashion Cop), Rachael Parenta (New York Underground Comedy Festival), Jackie Strubberg (Gilmore Girls), and Ray DeVito. All the music is original, it was written and performed by the awesome Mark Douglas of barely political and barely digital fame. Thank you all for checking it out, and big props to Andrew Singer for his editing help.

Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com We noticed something recently about a trend in the Washington consensus or mainstream thinking. We caught it when we were watching a debate on over Syria and whether or not the US should get involved. On one side was Anne Marie Slaughter, a Princeton University professor and former director of policy planning at the State Department. On the other side was Jeremy Scahill, an investigative journalist and national security correspondent for The Nation who has recently reported in Yemen and Somalia. Slaughter was defending the position she advocated in a recent New York Times op-ed where she recommended the US and other countries create No-Kill Zones in Syria, set up by the Free Syrian Army, giving the rebels weapons and military training. Scahill was arguing intervention is not the solution, because of the threat of blowback and an over-simplified notion of the conflict and understanding of who the rebels are. Does it remind you of anything? How about the mainstream economic argument that what the US should do is spend and print its way out of the economic doldrums, without regard for the economic blowback? We've heard it as an explanation from former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan talking about why the US credit rating doesn't matter (because the US can just print money to pay its debt). New York Times columnist and Nobel-Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman wrote in his column last month the Fed shouldn't start raising interest ...

Syria's opposition is divided over whether they need military help from outside in their fight against the government. The split became apparent as the country witnessed some of the fiercest battles in its nine-month-old crisis. New York-based author and political analyst Eva Golinger claims that Western media portrays Syrian armed groups peaceful civilian victims of a brutal regime in order to justify military intervention in the country. 1/1 T-KID (or Terrible T-KID 170) is a well-known graffiti artist from the Bronx, New York. He first got his start during the 1970s, tagging the name "King 13" every time he'd win a challenge, performing daredevil tricks on swings in local parks. He was a short lived member of a gang called the Bronx Enchanters (who would mark their territory by tagging walls and hanging red converse shoes on all of the light poles) ,much like animals mark their territory by urinating on trees, as well as The Renegades of Harlem, where he learnt how to really paint trains. He is the president of TNB (The Nasty Boyz) crew and ex-president of TVS (The Vamp Squad), one of the most notorious New York graffiti crews. T-KID is still active and his work can be seen in the Bronx as well as around the world. He is also a member of MAC crew from Paris. T-Kid was originally asked to be the narrator for the Hip-Hop documentary Style Wars but he declined

London Riots: Military Intervention - Martial Law Soon? - 9th August 2011 www.infowars.com www.infowars.com www.infowars.com The news that parts of Britain have descended into lawlessness has been reported in every corner of the world. But although the same pictures of burning buildings and lines of riot police appeared across the board, the accompanying words represented differing interpretations and concerns. Germany. Die Welt splashes the headline: "This is the uprising of the working class", taken from a comment by self-professed British anarchist, 28-year-old Bryan Phillips. France. The riots invoke "the ghost of the race riots of the 80s", according to Liberation. The left-wing paper says the causes are various, but include the "economic crisis, impoverished populations, and a disorganised police force". Spain. Prime minister David Cameron "must evaluate if the social conditions in some areas of London, aggravated by the public spending cuts, constitute a risk as well as an insupportable injustice", says an editorial in El Pais. United States. Both the New York Times and the Washington Post raise concerns over the proximity of the Olympics. The Times say that Britain must prove "there is no major risk of the Games being disrupted, or ruined, by a replay of the rioting", while the Post feels the riots are "an enormously damaging blow" with just a year to go. The Post says events are "taking root mostly in the powder keg of poorer neighbourhoods", and the Times ...

Watch New Intervention for Autism - Dr. BJ Casey Video New Intervention for Autism - Dr. BJ Casey
Dec 21, 2010
Dr. BJ Casey, the Sackler Professor and Director of the Sackler Institute at Weill Cornell Medical College (one of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's affiliate medical colleges), discusses a new intervention for adults and children with autism. In the intervention, autism patients are shown an image of a person's face while small flashes of light are emitted from around the person's eyes. The idea is to train patients to look at the eyes, where most visual cues come from, as opposed to the mouth, where autism patients tend to concentrate. More visual cues will lead autism patients to a greater involvement in interactions is the theory. In her interview, Dr. Casey also discusses how researchers are trying to understand how genetics affect autism and each patient. The concept is that by better understanding the genetics of the disorder, doctors can develop interventions to better treat autism in general as well as individual patients. Interventions are seen as preferable to medications which have had mixed success in treating autism.

Established to study and advance classical liberalism, the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) is the oldest free-market organization in the United States. Murray Rothbard recognized FEE for creating a "crucial open center" that he credits with launching the movement. FEE researches and advocates free-market, classical liberal, and libertarian ideas through lectures as well as publications. The lectures are either a part of week long seminars featuring multiple faculty, or feature one prominent speaker for the Evenings at FEE series. Outreach efforts include a monthly magazine, The Freeman, as well as pamphlets, lectures, and academic sponsorship. FEE publishes reprints of classic libertarian texts. In 1946, FEE was founded by Leonard Read of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, Donaldson Brown of General Motors Corporation, Professors Leo Wolman of Columbia University and Fred R. Fairchild of Yale University, Henry Hazlitt of the New York Times, Claude Robinson of Opinion Research Corporation, and David Goodrich of BF Goodrich. The William Volker Fund was instrumental in subsidizing FEE's establishment. The initial officers of FEE included Read as president, Hazlitt as vice-president, and Goodrich as chairman. After retiring from Grove City College where he taught economics, Hans Sennholz served as president of the Foundation from 1992 to 1997. Donald J. Boudreaux, former Chairman of the Department of Economics at George Mason University, served as president of the ...
